I just received some tamiya pin wheel adapters that I planned on using on my Falcon, but they are the wrong parts.[:I] They do not fit all the way up the rear axles, as the holes are too narrow. No big deal, I'll hold on to them for future projects, but which pin wheel adapters do I need to use on the Falcon for today's modern hexagonal wheels?[?]

(On edit - the part i purchased was #53056, Pin type Wheel Adapter)

The Falcon pre-dates hex fitting wheels by many years - I don't think you'll find an off-the-shelf solution - simplest would be to drill out the centre of those adaptors to fit - although you may have a problem with the wheel offset too.

You should try those original adapters that you already purchased again. I can fit them on my Striker and it uses the same wheel axles as the Falcon. The toughest part I have had with these metal adapters is that the small pin does not fit perfectly and you have to use a little bit of force.

Here is a picture of the wheel adapter on my striker (sorry for the poor picture quality).IMG_0165.jpg

Sounds like a plan - I'll try it again and let ya'll know the result. I bought some traxxas plastic adapters which may work, and as they are plastic they may be much easier to drill larger if need be.

Picked up some Traxxas hex wheel hubs and pins as I saw they might fit. Sure enough they work fine - no problems. The aprt # is 1654, so if you ever need adapters for a Falcon - you know where to get em.
