Anybody else think that Tamiya should make RC Schwimmwagen?

I didn't want 1/16th RC.  It screamed, "Don't buy me, I'm just a toy."  Nor a 1/6th scale from other makers.  I want Tamiya quality realism, maybe in 1/10th scale: 4WD on the first gear, 2WD on higher gears, portal gears, and 3rd channel for lowering the propeller.  If they could do a VW like Sand Scorcher in 1979, I'm sure they could do a swimming VW in 2017.  With the sea level rising, I should think that RC must be prepared for amphibious operations.  What are your thoughts?

If they can't manage a 1/10 6x6 truck, I can't see them doing a amphibious vehicle. Too much danger of litigation when the poorly assembled ones sink ...................

If you were skilled you could build one.  I watched a few videos on You tube where someone made an RC Toyota amphibious

I've thought a few times about converting one of the 1/6 scale toy ones to RC. But there are too many other cheaper projects to tackle first...

I was under the impression that Kong Head is a decent 6x6 basher.  I would very much like to learn about the faults before I commit to buy one at some distant future.

It is a very good basher, but Tamiya sell it as 1/18 scale, not 1/10 scale, even though it is mechanically very much part of the WR-02/GF-01 family.

Nothing to stop you putting a different scale shell on it though!
