I anyone knows about these I’d appreciate some advice. Looking at buying one but don’t know what to look for to tell the difference between versions 1-5.

appologies if this is n the wrong place, I thought there was a forum for other brands but couldn’t see it.

No I’m not sold on one yet but I saw one on eBay for £80 and seemed good value for a fairly high spec 4wd buggy. I’m looking for something cheap but strong to thrash around so I don’t have to abuse my beloved Tamiya’s.

I have a new built, never powered up DEX210 (set up for rear motor currently but can be set up mid motor).  Its got a brand new Speed Passion brushless set up in it.  All boxed with decal sheets and manual

In terms of differences between the versions, you're probably better looking on Oople forum than here, quite a lot of people ran them at club level 4-5 years ago

Both DEX210 (2WD) and 410 (4WD) are very tough buggies, UK spares aren't too much of an issue; the more racing biased retailers still have plenty and there are still aftermarket hop-ups kicking around too (albeit they are expensive because they were designed for racing rather than bling)

PM me if you're interested

This looks great mate, but I'm after a 4wd. What's another good option, my expertise really is limited to tamiya.

RC10 B4  / B44 always a very capable option

Or I have my TRF501X rebuilt to World's Edition type spec with bigger pulleys, new belts etc..

Durango had a huge following at my club as they were indestructible and a lot of people still run them. My Kyosho Lazer has been good but a few people have told me they are fragile. I haven't broken mine yet, and the fragile part is the front shock tower which are about $7 so not the end of the world. Losi is the other brand which a lot if people run and I haven't seen any break. Associated have just become popular as a local supplier has started selling them but its too soon to know if they are fragile or not, I suspect they are good though.

The other one to look for is the Hot Bodies D413, that has been the front runner for the last couple if seasons and is by all accounts indestructible. The D417 has just been released too so some D413's should be floating around as people upgrade.
