Hi all, just got a Konghead, its put away for Christmas so just looking forward for the build of this typical quirky Tamiya truck. Ive already got a 9T brushless system, bearings and 18t steel pinion bought ready, now looking for some shocks, im sure that cva mini shocks will fit, can anyone confirm if this is correct before i buy 2 sets. Also any other things ive not thought of, be sure to post up your trucks.

I wouldn't use a brushless motor with a 380 rotor in a truck with that much transmission drag and large wheels. I'd go for a X.5T motor which will have more torque and have less chance of overheating. You'll need an extra servo if you want to build it with rear axle steering.

Hi, never really gave the motor much thought, might swap motor with a 10.5t or 8.5t from one of my other cars. not really after silly speed, just less maintenance and a little more speed. Got plenty of metal geared servo's, really looking to the build, should be good fun at the track.

Does it use the same suspension arms as the wr02?

Can you give it the wide track conversion? TL01B/ wild dagger parts?

I am tempted by this, but was waiting for the schoolbus.

Yes, you can. The parts are fully interchangeable.

You can also give it a narrow track conversion using M-03 arms, although I'm not sure why one would want to.
