Ha!  “Viciously strong”...  that’s what I wanted to hear!  I would rather have to do something like you did to soften up the attraction than not enough right off the bat.

I might have a slight advantage when it comes to figuring out the positioning because I haven’t painted my shell yet.  Just as long as I can them back to the same position after paint...

2.  8 look OK too.  Regarding 4, you need to throw those in the bin immediately and have a long quiet think about what you've done.

#2, no doubt about that. These wheels are the bigger version of the original wheels that cam with the kit. Original wheels were an odd size for a touring car. (I still have them).
