Avante aluminium chassis?

Hi guys, just picked up an avante, yellow wheels with cam-locs etc, silver shocks, nice condition, but it has an aluminium chassis, all the holes in it are correct but it seems to be slightly longer (the body has a new mount hole cut about 1cm behind the original rear one, front is in the same place. Seems to have quite a few 2001 parts on it as well.Will post some pics as soon as I take some.

Is it not an avante?[?]

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like some kind of Avante 2001 hybrid with a home made aluminum chasis and Avante body and wheels. It isnt hard making an exaxct copy of a 2001/Egress chassis, just need the corect tools.

Could be aftermarket, it looks too perfect to be home made, all the holes are recessed etc, looks wicked. I'm just in the process of stripping it down to clean it, then I'll take some pics and post them up.

Got some hop up parts on it, shocks etc.

If anyone knows where the chassis comes from or who made it, let me know!!

I would say this was a hopped up vanquish: The rear shocks mounting is specific to this one. I love the machinated steering bits.

Very sweet ride. I'm not sure what all the bits and pieces are,but overall-very nice. That chassis is outstanding. [8D]
