Hi all.

I was wondering if it's possible to get after-market metal body mounts for the Pumpkin.

I don't know if anyone else found this, but the holes drilled in the standard ones appear to be 90 degrees out on the fronts (the R-clip fouls the edge of the bonnet) and all the holes are too low. The clips will scratch the paintwork (when i get round to painting it...)

Any thoughts or advice along these lines would be great.

Thanks

Rick

there are alot of custom posts around fitted to peoples trucks, but as far as i know there isnt a company producing them for the massis.

yea a few of us noticed the dodgey front post holes, there isnt much you can do to fix it unless you drill new ones, or cut the clips so they dont reach the body.

have a look through the forums on past topics about the pumpkin body posts - there are quite a few!

Those holes are a pain, you finish a lovely paintjob (well okay, mine was average [;)]), take it out for a run and end up with scratches [:(]. There's been a few people who have offered to make replacements in ali, but no one has come up with any as yet. Seems a popular request though, I'm sure if someone did do them they would sell plenty!

hi

i did make some posts but no one seemed interested lol.

the main problem for me was making the recess slot in the bottom..however i have a cunning plan.

if you have the old posts, you can slice the post off at the bottom where it joins the plate, then either buy some posts off me(in black nylon which are drilled) which you then screw from underneath to the old plate..you can then have the clip holes anyways you want,or re use the old posts and shim it with a washer to get the right height.

posts are £4 for 4

Another program I have tried with great success. I nipped the actual post off.Drilled a hole in each of the mounts. Screw the body down using a damper o=ring to protect the paint.[8D]
