Frog is discontinued, so not well suitable for a runner as parts are hard to get... [8)]

But you probably have no choice as Tamiya doesn't seem to make buggies anymore.. [:P] [:(]

Time to start looking to other brands I guess...? [?]

For fun you cant beat a Midnight Pumpkin or how about a blitzer beetle? Still obtainable new.

It also depends if you want an older car or new one, as has been said, tamiya are a bit limited in terms of good buggies in their current range.

A nice (stadium) truck to run?

-> King Cab and Toyota Hilux - but I think it is difficult to get new ones.

I still run my Toyota Hilux (I like the body more than the King Cab one because it is "wider"). It is fully ballraced an has old Monster Beetle tyres, fully ballraced with Tamiya Dynatech 01R.

This truck is imho durable (chassis, body). Some people have problems with the gearbox, mine works fine.

A few months back I was deciding between the S-10 pickup (4WD) and the Blister Beetle (2WD). I already have the Hummer (4WD) and XR311 (2WD). I asked the club to help me decide. It was close, but the Blister Bettle won. And, we (My son and I) love it. The big wheels and wide wheel base work great when we race around the front yard. The beetle (my son's car) will wins most races against the hummer. Mostly because the hummer rolls over easier in the tight turns. So, if you are going to use the vechile around the house/park go with the Beetle.

Enjoy!

P.S. We are getting a 2nd Beetle. I am getting tried of losing [:D]

Midnight Pumpkins are cool, My friend has one at it's a really funny sight... [:D]

But nothing beats a King Blackfoot if you ask me! It's also one of the very very few modern Tamiya's that have a hard plastic body and that has a unique chassis! [^] I must say I am biased on King Blackfoots though... [:P]

The bellcrank steering and the rear driveshafts are a weak points of the King Blackfoot though - but all cars have their weaknesses... [;)]
