taffer 948 Posted January 27, 2019 Another run of the fire dragon wouldn't hurt!
HornetRacer 1971 137 Posted January 27, 2019 In addition to re-releasing the classics that haven't yet been re-released, I wish Tamiya would continue with the "white-box" animal-themed cars...... So many animals not covered yet....Coyote.....Wolf.....Panther.....Eagle....the list goes on... BUT....they must have their own logos....like Hornet...or Fox......etc.... It could be done Tamiya.....
nowinaminute 2815 Posted January 27, 2019 I would definitely grab a Thunder Dragon, that's one sexy triangle. I'd love a King Cab too.
Jonathon Gillham 4606 Posted January 29, 2019 I would like to see the Dyna Storm again, what are the chances of that coming? Top Force has had 2 runs...
HornetRacer 1971 137 Posted January 29, 2019 Tamiyablog is saying this is getting re-released!?! .....Really pleased if this is true!!!!!

Well let's hope it is the same 80s design (lancia rally and Opel ascona) all 3 looked bizarre even back then........but just so good👍

On the other hand I could honestly see Tamiya: A. make a more realistic version like the current Lancia Rally or B. put it on a Wild Willy 2 chassis like the Willy's Wheeler/Honda City, albeit with a possible lengthened wheelbase. B.seems likely to me as the original Audi and the Opel bodies always seemed a bit more distorted to me than the original Lancia which just had enlarged wheelwells,
78Triumph 2610 Posted January 29, 2019 Ah, I hope the Audi looks more scale than the original they released. The high lift and huge wheel arches don't do much for me.
martinjpayne 273 Posted January 29, 2019 Perhaps Tamiya can re-jig the Ascona 400 body to fit a 257mm chassis. It was always way too short between the B and C pillars. Just looked SO wrong!

Raman36 1656 Posted January 30, 2019 Hate to rain on your parade... but it won’t be on the original chassis. it will be on the TA02 S just like the Lancia
ralphee 293 Posted January 30, 2019 The Turbo Optima is looking nice, wish it was the Mid though. Lee
ralphee 293 Posted January 30, 2019 Sadly the Quattro, at least for me looks really odd. Roof looks squashed, and not much thought to the wheel pattern choice.
Pablo68 1049 Posted January 30, 2019 Wrong part of the forum but what the hey. I am a bit miffed that Kyosho hasn't re-re'd the Ultima yet. I was hoping they'd do it this year.

Reedydriver 148 Posted January 30, 2019 Very pleased to see the Turbo Optima! An Ultima would be interesting too, but actually I am excited about the news on the Turbo Optima!

Steadyrides 46 Posted February 1, 2019 Would love to see another run of the Thundershot! I got back into this a few years too late. That car has really grown on me. A cool piece of Tamiya goodness.

ralphee 293 Posted February 2, 2019 No the model itself. I've since seen other images that look a lot better. Would have loved the original release mind you. Lee
Pata76 501 Posted February 2, 2019 The Audi are a TT02 under the hood. They can be pre-ordered at Tonys Tamiya Parts on FB.

A shame we can't get the original re-released with improvements. The Opel Ascona as well....even though the body was a bit stubby. Plus I would love the Lancia Rally to be re-released on the ORV chassis.....easy to do!!!
MICHAELs TopForce17 586 Posted February 2, 2019 I would grab a king blackfoot but doubt that would ever get remade.
Snappy1 966 Posted February 3, 2019 We all know this is all guesswork, but I believe with the announcement of the Turbo Optima we may see Tamiya release something at the higher levels of nostalgia and legend, Top Force Evo or 959 ?
