superted 121 Posted January 2, 2018 hi can anybody tell me if the rear outdrives on the vintage boomerang are the same as the re re? The ones that sit in the rear wheel hubs. cheers
StueyS 41 Posted January 2, 2018 I think they may be different, I think the ends of the dog bones are different sizes (ball diameter and pin?)

matman 1499 Posted January 3, 2018 Yes they are different , Vintage are bigger than the re re . So , if you get re re , you need to change the out drives & dog bones and of course axles . NOW , if you change the gear box too a re re G-Box. You need to get E-Clips to hold the out drives , BUT If you are using the old vintage gear box's , They use C-Clips . You can use either out drives on both Gear box's , AS Long as you have re re G-Box with the E-clip & vintage with C-clip . Re re has been releaved in the bearing to hold the E-clip .
