Baja Champ because it looks like the old buggies in the 80's and the Stadium Radier doesn't look to agile. I think they both have roughly the same ground clearance. I guess its down to whether you want a buggy or stadium truck [:D]

Baja champ but buy some universal drive shafts as those plastics ones break after a few jumps. (At least mine did, i broke 3, kept on replaceing them then threw the champ aside and bought a fireblade evo as it was the right price. (That was before i got into classic tamiya though...)

I would go for the Baja Champ, looks better with those wide suspension [;)]

As far as I know the Baja Champ uses Wild Dagger suspension, and there are no official Tamiya universal available for it!! GPM makes them but they will also snap with some heavy abusing.

i think you'd better buy some spare Wild Dagger dogbones they'll cost abou €7,- these don't snap only bent.

I had the same problem with those Baja bones on my Wild Dagger, I thought these are thicker=better but nooo [:(] they snapped last sunday after 5minutes of bashing [:(][:(]

Oh, yes there are! 53028 Thundershot Universal Shaft Set are the correct universals for the TL-01B (Baja Champ, Baja King), Mad Bison and Wild Dagger, and all the DF01-buggies (Top Force, Manta Ray, Blazing Star etc.). Might be difficult to get, though.

I would say Baja Champ. I have both the Stadium Raider and the Baja Champ. The Raider while 'neat looking' would never hold up like the Baja Champ.

I am planning to play around with the body and mounts from my Stadium Raider on the Baja Champ with King Blackfoot tires all around. [;)]

If looking for a Stadium truck type thing the Staduim Blitzer is still available new and is quite rugged.

Also as a side note the bones out of the Blitzer Beetle, Stadium Blitzer and Stadium Thunder are only 0.5 MM shorter than the boanes for the Baja Champ and are all metal. The drive cups in all of the TL-01 and the blitzers are the same so it should work fine.

Yes, they are great in the Dagger. Deleted from Tamiya for some peculiar reason, but not too hard to find for a decent price on eBay.
