Wild Willy 2/Dagger Gearcases

I thinking about selling off my Traxxas junk including my old Emaxx, so I decided to rebuild my Twin Detonator to take its place as a smaller, more manageable twin motor truck. Does anybody know where I can get new gearbox cases for it? I seem to be coming up empty. For all their vaunted strength (and internally, they are), they were the first part to break on the truck back in '05. The molded-in mounting tubes crack, split or simply break off. I'm wondering how to go about strengthening them as well. I'm guessing through-bolting them across the chassis span vs the stock screwed-in method will help. I might sleeve them, but they're tapered which makes it tricky. Any tips on where to find them or strengthen them are appreciated.

I bought a complete gearbox for a WW2 for my Blackfoot 3 conversion. You can get just the box casing too easy enough.

Not sure where yours broke, you can get these extended GPM turret mounts which will strengthen the top points, none for the lower that I’ve seen. After running these rigs brutally for years I’ve only broken one casing and my son one. Both of them on the rear box after hitting the rear wheel hard on posts.

Wow, that's quite a hit on the lower arm mount! Mine all fracture at the bosses that mount to the chassis. No luck with the cases unfortunately. I'm from the US and the seller can't take Paypal Credit from the States evidently.

You’re not overtightening or using the wrong screws by any chance. I’ve never stripped one of those. My main runner is running brushless and has had some serious abuse, somersaults and all sorts!
