Hello all, I just recently got back into R/C and came across a Bruiser in my Brother in law's attic. He was going to throw it away!!! Anyway I have been in the process of restoring it. I am trying to find out how to power this beast...battery of course. I have everything it came with including the 6v 4000mAh battery. I have not been able to find anything like this, and I know that the connectors for the battery are larger than the standard flat pack. Anyone have any ideas of what I can do? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes he was, and to be completly honest I did not know too much about it until I started doing some research...what an idiot!

I sometimes have nightmares about all the cars I want that people threw away.. I recently got goosebumps when my mom asked me incidently if she could throw away a box of parts I had stored in my parents house. That box contained monster beetle parts ready to be restored!! I wonder how many tragedies like these happened (the son goes to collage, the parents clean the attic and throw away all the 'garbage' ie: 1 sand scorcher, 1 blazing blazer, a frog and a hotshot...)

Don't mention the possibility of that, I'm in university 220 miles from home[:0][:(]

Trade it with a used cheap modern tourer or buggy, it always works and all are happy [;)] A friend of mine traded a used Bear Hawk for a nice SS which was going to be used by a son as a runner.

Cheers

sad to say this is what happened to me [:(] OK it wasn't just college but I had left home completely, got married, that sort of stuff. Then my parents decided to move house and unknown to me, my mum threw out ALL my old toys, thinking they'll be worthless. Included in that was my pristine condition Tamiya r/c cars: Ferrari 312T, Super Champ and even my Pajero. Luckily, the saving grace was them not throwing out my other Tamiya cars which I had not built and still NIB and because it was still boxed, she kept them (never could understand the way female logic thinks). So at least I still have my Bruiser NIB with original battery, 4 channel controller and all other stuff and my Porsche 959 NIB. My Hotshot I had kept with me when I left for University so still have that too. Now my kids play with my Hotshot and some newer/current models. As for the Bruiser/Porsche 959, I have since claimed them back from my parent's house and tey're with me at last!!!
