Whenever I'm at a store I always keep my eyes out for stuff I can re-purpose for RC use.  I was in the paint aisle at Lowes and saw these doo dads that you use to help set up kitchen cabinets to paint.  I thought they would be good course markers or mini pylons to use on driveways and what not.  You can get 10 of them for 4.95 so they're pretty cheap and theyre made of durable plastic so they can take the abuse of an R/C car running them over.  I also liked the way they stacked onto each other for storage.

I bought two packs but I'll probably grab a pack or two everytime i go to lowes so I have plenty to set up courses with.

Unless they come with rubber feet and tips, it's just a mistake waiting to happen. A great idea, poorly executed.

The picture on the packge of them supporting the small table under it's legs definately looks like a mistake waiting to happen.

Each time we get snow here my daughter and I have been making a make shift track on the driveway to run my xv-01.  These little pylons should come in handy to help mark out the turns and stuff.

man those are awesome!! Even for their intended use!!!!!! Never knew they existed.....

I agree. I always raise my woodworking projects up on scrap pieces of wood for staining. I wouldn't balance a table on them, but the cabinet doors would definitely work well.

For driving cars in the street I've tried some Losi track dots and some cones for soccer practice.  The track dots slid around if I ran over them.  The short cones would stay in place but flip the car.  The taller cones would bounce off the car and fall over.  Out of the three, the tall cones are my favorite because they generally stay in place and don't damage the car if hit.
