If it’s any help, I ordered a Italeri Truck & Trailer from the UK that seemed to good to be true. After 6 weeks items never arrived. In the next 2 of contacting fleabay informing them of ‘Item never arrived’ I was fully refunded. Didn’t have to tell Paypal at all. The same thing happened with an iPad a few years ago. The customer service has been good to me.

I always have a punt at stuff like this if I see it, ebay have you covered either way.

Sometimes it's too good to be true, sometimes not. The cheap Floureon batteries a while back were legit so fingers crossed.

Conversely, I bought the entire 60's Batman DVD from the states and the quality was unwatchable as the recordings were all corrupt. I got nothing because the items had 'arrived' and the returns stated the item had to be sent back, so to pay postage to the states on top of all the duty and shipping already paid was a no go, about £50 or £60 wasted.

Thankfully, I managed to get the whole set recently as it has now been officially released since! And it was on offer pretty cheap anyway as I remember.

A return due to not wanting it anymore or changing your mind is different to receiving something that is faulty or not as described. 

If it’s either of the latter you should always be able to get your money back. If the seller wants the item returning they will need to front the cost.

I took it up with ebay at the time and got nowhere, it was back in like 2007. I think buyer protection has improved since then. Those were the return conditions iirc and paypal wouldn’t refund me, probably didn’t help that it took so long to arrive.

My wife recently bought something on eBay which was sent to the wrong address / stolen by the postie or a neighbour, as it didn't arrive, but was signed for, (illegible) so eBay and PayPal said it had arrived, case closed...

Chaps, don't be too dismissive on the offers and pricing on these, loss making activities and marketing often supports business growth within internal supply chains.

Hence why there are often multiple storefronts for the same seller.

It's essentially the Starbucks model. 

Equally when PayPal/eBay/Amazon run the 10%\20% discount days to increase marketing spend reducing in year profitability and tax liabilities. You can make too much profit. 

Often marginally loss making businesses with strong revenue growth is more profitable for business owners where they make all the profit at the start of the internal supply chain on an arm's length company yet still take salary and expenses from each business.

The 'lucky customer' message is to encourage you to leave feedback before the item arrives (because it won't arrive), therefore giving the seller more credibility to sell more things.

I bought 7 cheap WLtoys cars recently at less than $10 each...same story.... now have been refunded for all. 

I hope you do get them, but I'm pretty sure you won't

China delivery is normally 2-6 weeks. If it doesn’t arrive by the day it’s due. Log it for a refund. There really is little risk. Just time waiting. 

Either they turn up. Or they don’t and you get your money back.

Yeah I don’t leave feedback until I get the item. I’ve bought loads of things like this before. Some you win and get a deal. Some you just wait for and end up with a refund. So long as you are depending on the item turning up it’s not really an issue. 

 

Btw - I order 2 of these ESC’s a few hours after this thread went up. So I’m in the same boat too
