I wonder if they'll correct all of the (many..) issues the TRF102 had.

free-floating rear suspension + 3 damper tubes, and the option to mount a shorty battery sideways for that awesome indoor carpet action = might-be-tempted-to-buy-even-though-I'm-not-much-of-an-F1-guy.

At our club at any rate, the 102 is the chassis to beat, especially when fitted with a 101W front end. I look forward to seeing the innovations that it's successor brings with it.

As for the 2CV, I hope someone does a fourgonnette version perhaps as an add-on kit.

Agreed on the Thundershot chassis - was hoping to see this come around again.

However as for the Manta Ray, if a chassis is good enough to re-re and re-re-re, I am sure a re-re-re-re will also be well received.

Isuzu Mu! Woohoo! My first XC back in the day, sold it without even running it for fear of damaging the body. Won't make that mistake again.

Manta Ray was my 1st proper RC car, so glad to see it back (Missed the original Re-Re) if only to pick up some bodies / decals for a reasonable price again.

Yeah the cool thing about these is they’ll be identical to the original as they had long stopped using real product names ie “bright lights” lol

I cracked up when I saw Turnip's "re re re re."

I cannot believe 2005 was old enough for a re-re to be re-red.  Is this the first time something was re2-ed?

Tamiya must think it's worth it. I understand that the DF01 chassis is a very capable chassis. But I didn't think Manta Ray was that popular.  Then again, I like Tamiya stuff with animal names. I'm surprised that we only have one seafood among the Tamiya animals. (do people eat manta ray, I wonder? sorry, my thoughts often go off tangent...)

Top Force has been re-released twice (2005, 2017), so has the Boomerang (2008, 2017), probably others too.

Some stuff has been 'discontinued' and new batches released a few years later - Avante, Egress this September, CC01 Pajero Metaltop.

Well....I did laugh when I saw the 2CV on the MO5 chassis lol BUT I bet it will be a fun little model. Wheels & tyres are going to be odd....they must surely be narrow to look scale!!!?

Manta Ray will be purchased. An odd looking design but it has Tamiya written all over it! (I know it doesn't literally before anybody says "no it doesn't" lol)

Interested in the Isuzu Type x on the CC-01

I am also eagerly awaiting the Lancia 037 release details.

I wonder if the Jun Watanabe body warmer thing they released recently means we will be getting another Jun Watanabe car? Maybe the Jun Watanabe Super Clod Buster? lol

Thinking about it, a 2CV body shell will make a cute little addition to the M line, but I would really love to see a true RC scale model of one, complete with the weird suspension, instead of just another lexan cake pan on top of the nearest handy FWD chassis. Either I'm getting cranky in my old age, or Tamiya's getting lazy... where are the modern-day SRB equivalents?

Very interested to see how Tamiya address the wheels and tyres on the 2CV.

My chips are on M02 Beetle wheels, cast in white ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They probably already have a mountain of them on hand:

Those wide wheels and tyres will look totally out of character on a 2CV lol

Yep, they will look completely wrong, but Tamiya will adhere to tradition

They didn't work on the M02 Beetle either.

They will make finding tyres easy though. Given the full-size car's "light offroading" credentials, I wonder if M-size rally blocks would be appropriate?
