Wild One with a black roll cage anyone ?

Hi all . Has anyone built a Wild One with a black FAV roll cage ? . I would like to see a pic of one if anyone has any pics , cheers.

Thanks for the reply . That W/O does look nice . I'm thinking of just changing the roll cage and keeping the other red parts to keep some 'colour' on it , not sure yet , but this would be my next Wild One build in the future if I do another one .

I've got one with the cage painted black (you've seen it before ) - definitely looks better than the red IMHO. I've thought about getting a FAV cage for it for ages, but just not got round to it...

Thanks for the reply Nigel . It's something to think about I guess . I had one with a brown FAV roll cage but swapped it out for a red one , the cages were not re-re back then .

I just bought a black FAV roll cage , so I'll try it at some point

I am planning on this exact same thing. I have recently bought a brand new Wild One kit and have also collected the black plastic roll cage and side frames parts trees for the FAV off of ebay including the treaded wheels and tyres. I really like the look of the Baja themed FAVs, particularly the yellow one by FullSpeedDesign which I would like to try and replicate.

One of things regularly mentioned on here is the weakness of the old differential housing - I will be using a Tamiya sport tuned motor with ball races throughout. Does the rerelease Wild One still require shimming of the diff or have the parts been remoulded/redesigned to alleviate this problem?

I don't think they have been revised , still looks like the same parts .
