Yep, that's quite pink. (A paint question....)

Quick question... I was going to back my Fluorescent Pink in silver without really thinking about it not being metallic.

Is silver likely to be OK? Or do I need to get hold of some white?

I'm after bright, shiny pink

If you want really bright then I'd back with white, silver might dull it down a wee bit.

That's what I was worried about, I've done a quick sample that I'll put silver behind and see.

I don't really want to spend another fiver on postage to get another can of paint sent

Can’t offer any advice but that colour is great. Think the girls will love that for their shell. Will have to show them.

I'm recreating my original shell. As an 11 yo boy I didn't like it and never used it. I like a bit of bright pink these days

I'll put a pic up when it's finished.

I wonder if spraying pearlescent first might have made it shinier (Alex's idea). Then back it up with white.  

You are a brave man.  I don't think I could have survived spraying indoors.

That could have ended up an interesting colour. I've silvered it now, my test piece looked OK. It's ended up quite a deep pink  I've got an orange shell to do aswell, going to do that with white I think.

I like the fumes  And it's the lounge that is due to get decorated soon, so I can just about get away with it

The metallic pink Neo Scorcher body is backed in silver, and that’s a factory finish.

Cheers, I'm pretty pleased with it

I used Tamiya PS paints. The silver behind worked out really well. I think it's darkened it overall but where the paint was a bit thinner, like down the "folds" around the edge of the shell and the sides of the air scoop it's got a silvery/pink shine to it. Doesn't show up in photos though.

Ta but unless they're REALLY cheap I'll stick with the black, think they go quite well with it.
