That just over £100, what's the postage on it likely to be to the UK ?

Put it in your cart and start going through checkout, it gives estimates for you before you get too far. I find rcmart to be on the pricey side for shipping, but mostly because they seem to add more for each item rather than either discount the more you spend or give you a weight limit

Interesting; the cost of it once delivered, it comes in very nicely compared to buying it here in uk.  Basically the difference between getting it with an ESC and without. With delivery charges it’s about £147.

However if the customs and handling fees “lottery” get applied also - maybe another £20 or so if based on my last import - it basically would cost me the same as if buying it in the uk with an ESC

I estimate to get this all in to the uk costs about £165 or so. I think it’s cheaper to get in the uk. Why is it so expensive in the first place in rc mart prior to the discount?

My last two kit imports from HK, one got through with no charges, as the shop had written that it was a gift valued at £20, the other got slammed with customs and handling, same description written on it!

So, this is a good deal only if it dodges the customs lottery...

Yeah RCmart will essentially rape you in shipping costs. On eBay they’re more competitive but then it takes about 3 weeks to get anything from them as of late. So I only buy from them if I’m in no hurry or the price difference justifies the wait (I’d pay a few bucks more to have it in 3-5 days vs nearly a month).

What price are they normally? <_<

U.S.$149 doesn't sound super duper especially cheap... that's about par for normal before postage I'd thought.

When they first rereleased my preorder was recorded at US$165 (with ESC) elsewhere; Rcmart a/c history don't go back that far on their clunky new system

Ahh banzai too used to be functional, alas :(

RCMart claims $314.  I am sure it’s just an inflated “normal” price to make their “sale” price look good.

Ignore such claims as mere puffery, T doesn't impose RRP or MSRPs.

The only number I go buy is what's printed on the box. :)

58525 was released 2012年7月7日 costing 20,304円(本体価格18,800円)

so it's just JPY 18,800 if you're not paying Japan taxes.

Some Asian sellers might try to convert that # by using an exchange rate around 50Y=$1 which is highly optimistic...

Exactly.  The only price I pay attention to is the one that causes funds to leave my possession.  I don’t care what the price was or is going to be.  It is all how the price sits with me at the present time.

Just be aware, WildOnes were sold some with ESC others without. Difference about $10-15 either way by my books.

Japan never gets ESCs in home market.

HongKong sellers can offer both.

On USD# alone I've seen 58525 go up to about $175-180 at some stage (when the early first batch ran dry) but since then T has just continued cranking out batch after batch... price is pretty much stabilised imho.

Only variance today is HK postage has gone up a lot and the AUD$ ain't as strong...
