stamatis 84 Posted February 12, 2018 Hi, Seems like I've been away from building these for quite some time, and things change... So now a rear bumper is added and wires can be passed under the servo! And no Mini Cooper 210mm body will be a straight fit, unless you trim... Stamatis
Andyfish2000 104 Posted February 12, 2018 Had exactly this problem over the weekend when finally finishing my Monte Carlo Mini. Some research threw up that it was a change between M05 and M05 ver2. No reference in the instructions and no changes in pictures to reflect it. I just took a hacksaw to it and now I have no problems with fit. For all the good things with Tamiya, it seems they occasionally get lazy.
TurnipJF 9192 Posted February 12, 2018 The sticky outy bit at the back is there to engage the droop screws that can be fitted to the optional one piece lower arms. If using the standard arms and a shell with a short rear overhang, it seems common practice to simply cut the sticky outy bit off.
