heres my 80`s collection....83 to 87 hanging  here.......still looking for the other years so that's part y I `m on here to hoipefully track down sum tidy vintages.....

here was my 87 striker as me mum found it in 2011 I thk....

so cleaned up the lower chassis..came up quite well imo....had to buy a new top though......as I had painted it black...lol....

sourced sum new parts....

and motor

had

stripped it down for a good clean n grease up...

then set about the rims.....before.

....old right.....resto`d left...

found a gen decal sheet on ebay....

and the en

I`m well happy how it turnt out........gutted I never kept my blackfoot.....not sure what happened to that tbh......

then I gota 83 frog....haven't touched this as it came rtr.... like this...spare green repro shell/decals.....

I`ve put a crp fr bumper on it....

has sum modified motor in it.....trinity possibly  ....also had to find the 2x metal aerials for it.....ebay yet again....

seeing as i had cheated on the 84 g.hopper.....as its a rere not vintage I needed a proper 84 one...so this hornet popped up on msuk so I did the deal and got it for a sweet price imo.......needed new tyres all round...new msc.....I ball raced it.....period motor...rebuilt the fr/rear shoxs with new springs.....stripped chk`d gear box....only thing to do now is the mci decals and it`ll b done.........this is how it came to me....

loved the rx aerial length....

did fr wheels first  once the tyres had all come and the new springs showed up.......fitted rs bearings aswell..

 

I found the rears quite fiddly tbh.....but used a bit of gt85 and it made it a lot easier....

that large white bit did eventually go in the tyre.....

all done

fr end stripped /cleaned and new springs fitted....

rears redone....new oil/springs

all looks good in there....new bearings and grease

found these a pain to get bak in 

stuck this in

freshly rebuilt

all was going well until I snapped this off.....

so had to get new one off ebay..only 2.50 I thk for a pair....mci`s....

and here it is finished all bar the decals..

then I got this fox roller.....stripped and chk`d it all over...fitted a decent motor....team orion  I thk.....and a hobbywing 1060esc.....but have yet to run it......have put new rims on it..heres how it came.

then I got me falcon....not touched this since it came.....

unfourtanlty these both broke in transit.....gutted isn't the word.....but he did refund so I was sorta happy ...but still gutted.....

 I have found one side....but still need the other obv.....I`ve used a tiny dab of glue for now until I find the other one..then I`ll fit both and sort it out...strip/clean...ball race.....

same motor as the striker......fitted new belt.....needs new shoxs which I have here....

Nice! I have a t-shirt that shows the "Regular Bros."  (Mordecai and Rigby). It looks like an old school Nintendo Game cartridge box.

Wow, great work on bring 'em back from the dustbin    A few cheap 'z man' sprues(0225001) will get you new fog lights and drivers for the Hornet/Frog/Grashopper for next to nothing.

cheers dude.....yeah I did thk of doing sum new drivers now I got sum Tamiya paints......and the frog needs the light  pods... I got the g.hopper ones here and driver for it....

Thks to ebay i now have my very rare 1988 one coming nx wk.........may not b the most  popular tamiya  but it dam sure is a rare one...........and it's  98%  perfect....box art also.......watch this space
