Seriously considering building this with the G6-01 chassis

The ZIL-132. I mean, look how mental that is. The wheel spacing is equidistant not doubled up at the rear like G6-01 chassis, but it looks like it could still work. The problem is finding those glorious wheels and tyres.

Are there any body shells with a similar cabin?

It comes in 2 pieces, that's great. The truck bed would probably have to be fabricated, but the cab would work.

The truck bed will be quite simple I think.

 

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys, really nice to have some interest. I think I've seen those conical wheel hubs somewhere, too. They were chrome, obviously, but some matt paint will take care of that.

If I can find the conical wheel hubs big enough, I can cut out the inner wall of these tyres at the first groove they will be a very, very good match. Getting them to a low profile tyre will be the tricky part. Then glue them to the new wheel hubs.
