Mines gonna be real small compared to most, but after only being back into it a few months I think I’m off to a good start!

89’ fox

rere wild one

rere grasshopper (sons first car)

rere midnight pumpkin

rere hornet (dads car but I get a play)

planned for this year- Frog, hotshot, Novafox, holiday buggy to put aside for son for Christmas, and maybe a lunchbox. Will be dependent on disposable funds and whether the kits will last long enough at the stores before I’m ready to buy!

I'm just playing at this compared to you lot, but I seem to prefer tinkering and improving the cars I have rather than having loads I don't have time to use. Anyway....

Vintage Thunder Dragon, owned since I was 13, now pretty much the only thing still original is the bodyshell, propshaft and ACOMS radio gear! Love modding it. Currently it's getting a steering upgrade and some new adjustable rear uprights I designed.

Grasshopper3 - DT03 chassis, truck wheels, loads of hop ups, with a modified Grasshopper2 bodyshell grafted on. Love this too. 2wd is fun.

Rising Fighter - Bought for the kids, but still modified! Has my 4 bar front suspension conversion, CVA shocks and now has Mad Bull wheels.

Then there's Project Ultra G which will eventually be a Grasshopper 2 with all round independent suspension thanks to grafting on a Thundershot rear gearbox and my 4 bar front suspension mod mentioned above.

That'll do!

I am happy with my current 3 although I fancy a crawler like a CC-01 need to decide if the the DT-03 or the lunchbox need to be sold first! If another cheap 1/8 chassis appears online at a cheap price that might get added also

I prefer your approach but in a way, it was retail therapy that got me to this point so it served a purpose. I’ve pretty much hit my limit now and haven’t bought a new car / chassis for a few months so I’m doing well!

I’d love to have a go at 3D printing one day but I’ll have a massive learning curve!

I have a slash VXL 4x4 I've had for a basher for a few years, didn't know Tamiya even re-released the models I built in the 70's/80's until last September.   I am into helis and diecast otherwise. So far, I've been building a box-art shelf queen fleet based on what I had back in the day.  They are built with a steering servo and full bearings, so if I want to run them, I can just bolt in the rest and go. But the Slash pretty much has it covered for any type of driving I may do, actually eyeballing the new TRX with Bronco body.  All are built, waiting and stocking up for painting weather. Also collecting 'conversions' to have all the body parts/wheels to use the same chassis for other bodies.  Trying to spread the chassis types around rather then having multiples of the same.

Most of these I've acquired by selling off diecast I bought years ago at 4 times the price I paid, so it's pretty much been a 'painless' new hobby to get back into.  The price of diecast models has become prohibitive, and make these re-res seem 'cheap'-and I can actually touch them without fear of breaking the **** things.

To date:

Sand Scorcher rere with all parts/wheels/body to convert to RR
Blackfoot rere with Monster Beetle body/wheel 'conversion'
Hornet rere
Brat rere with all parts/wheels/body to convert to Frog, and a spare Blackfoot shell to be done up as a Ranger tribute
WW2 rere
Porsche 934 40th with two extra shells

on the way:

Lancia on pre-order, already have all the bits to 'convert' it to the Porsche GT2(since I'm altering the wheelbase on the 934)
Isuzu Mu on pre-order(as I owned two Amigos/Rodeo Sports back in the day).  Already have a Bronco body set for that one too

On the radar:
Hotshot rere
Wild one rere
And starting to seek out vintage models to restore

I like the modeling/history aspect of Tamiya, for driving I like to bash and throw it on a shelf in the garage until next time, and it's hard to go back after getting used to 60mph/40 minute run times of modern lipo cars.  I've also been sniping shells, like 3 for the RM02 (956/787/Toyota Tom's) but haven't found a chassis yet to put them on.  Almost all my love for cars has roots in Tamiya, so I consider it my 'youth museum'.  If I ever score a 959 kit for a reasonable price, I'm sure as heck not going to try to jump the entire driveway with it :)  You take it for granted with modern cars, just turn em on and throw them onto the ground and go for broke.  But it's never going to be my 'baby' like even the new cheap Hornet is to me.  When I was a kid it was a different story...

Although the I'm going to have a very hard time not driving the WW2, may need to buy a second one :)

The parts are my retail therapy! I still seem to manage to spend a fair bit on RC even without buying new kits. ;-)

Well I think I currently have the least amount then!

1 runner. The DT03 Racing Fighter which is my first ever. Struggle to prise it from my daughters hands when we are out! Pretty hopped up and an ongoing work in progress. Plenty of plans.

1 builder. The 2017 Top Force I bought on impulse really as I liked the look. Not sure when it’ll be finished at the minute.

Have seen loads more I’d like but those two are keeping me occupied in the limited free time I currently have.

TT02B in the mail on its way.

Looking to sell a Stampede and pick up a BF or MB.

I was expecting some longer lists in here - maybe @Jason1145 was almost finished his list then bought another car?

Mine - Boomerang rere, TT02B Plasma Edge,  Kyosho Mantis EP (original from the 90s)

Sons - Novafox, TT02B Plasma Edge, Monster Beetle rere

Racers - TA07 Pro, TRF102, Kyosho Ultima RB6.6 and Lazer ZX6

I split them like that in case my wife ever sees, I can hand on heart say I only have 3 and since its on the internet it must be true.

My current fleet since getting back into the hobby;

TT01D RX7 - Now converted to TT01e 251mm wheelbase wearing Ford Capri or Porsche RSR bodies.

DF01 Cayenne - Purchased cheaply as it was discontinued kit. Originally a donor car for a TA01 rebuild, but now a DF01/TA01/DF01 Buggy - Soon to be top force. Wears a Racing Lancer (DF01), Toyota GT-Four 1990 (TA01) or Blazing Star (DF01 Buggy). I've now got the FRP parts to convert this to a Top Force / FRP chassis TA01 which will have a BMW M3 & Skyline R32 body.

M05 Abarth Assetto Corse - Now converted to M05ra spec with a Suzuki Swift Body or Honda CRX Pro.

M05v2 built from scratch - Racing Mini Cooper body or a Abarth TCR 1000 body when I've finished the Decals.

M06 Pro - Eunos Roadster, Alfa GTA or BMW 2002 body. Also have an Alpine A110 that can go on this once I've decaled it.

F104x1 - McLaren Mp4/24 or Ferrari F60 body. I've also done a F104w front end conversion so this also has a McLaren MP4/6 body.

F103GT - Nissan GT-R LM Nismo (Purchased one June after watching LeMans 24hr on Autosport). Has parts to convert to a F103 with a McLaren Mp4/5b body.

XV01 Pro - Subaru Impreza 2008 body, but have the parts to convert to a XV01tc which will have the Subaru WRX 24hr Nurburgring body that needs painting.

TA06 Pro - Currently in bits. Has a Ferrari 599xx body, Ferrari 458 body. I'm in the process of finishing off a Mercedes AMG GT3 to go on this. Need electrics as it's donated what it originally had to others. I aim to put a 17.5 or 21.5 brushless in this eventually.

FF03 Pro - Converted to Pro-R spec. Has Castol Honda Civic / JAS Civic bodies.

In the build queue;

F104 Pro - Ready to be built from spares. Has a Ferrari F2012 body that I need to cut out and decal. Bodies will be shared with the F104x1.

TB04 LaFerrari - Ready to be built, just needs a couple of bearings. Has a Raybrig Concept NSX body ready to put on once it's done. Need to finish the LaFerrari body too.

TA02SW Porsche 934 - Most recent project. I already have the Porsche 934 & Porsche 911 GT2 bodies. Purchased this kit after the Lancia 037 was announced last year, so I'm aiming to get that body too. I've also got the parts to convert to TA02 257mm wheelbase, and a Alfa 155 Jagermeister body to go on it.

Tucked away in the loft for sentimental value;

Parts to build a Manta Ray from new parts - my first car, so I've got all the bits to build a new one a few years ago. Now they've re-released it, so I may have to get a 2018 version, and merge some of the spares.

Parts to build a TA01 Lancia Delta Integrale - my 2nd car was a 1992 Celica GT-Four. This was the next best thing I could put together. If they ever re-release the Celica ST185 body, I will get one to go with these parts.

F102 McLaren Mp4/6 - My most original car. This one probably holds the most sentimental value. I've slowly been picking up some spare parts for this.

What I'd like to add in 2018: I'm sure this list could be pretty endless for most of us if we had the funds, but realistically if I could add a car or two to the fleet, the things at the top of the list are MF01x, M07 Concept, Hotshot / Super Hotshot or TT02 Type S at the moment. The TA02s Lancia 037 will jump to the top of the queue if the body parts are hard to find or if it's more cost effective to buy a whole kit.
