Ive the DT03 chassis i used for the speed run, which had its diff locked, and since kitted her with paddle tyres in preperation for a dedicated beach runner.

I've a HPI dodge charger body, with blower, i want to use, but keep flip flopping as which direction to take it.

Option 1 :- Dukes of Hazzard's, General Lee. I've got the decals and paint, but not sure it would suit off road with the blower?

Option 2 :- Original Fast & Furious charger, body wise, its right, but on an off road chassis?

Option 3 :- Fast & Furious 7, its off road, but didnt have a blower and i'd need wheels nailed to the back.

Option 4 :- Just paint it any colour

Thoughts?? 🤔

I like Dukes of Hazzard, not a fan of Fast and Furious so much.  And they used to take that car offroad all the time so surely it suits and offroad chassis?

Otherwise, PS4 blue like all my race cars, one colour, no stickers

Is there any way you can part trim the bodies to drop onto the chassis to see where the wheels end up? I just can't figure out widths and stance without seeing the shell dropped on the buggy.

For me, as a rule General Lee wins every time for Chargers

Ive stuffed it on top, and it kind of lines up, the DT03 is quite a long chassis! 👍

I'm kind of getting that vibe, and its the actual reason i bought the shell 😁

Since you don't live in the US, go for the Dukes livery, it's iconic for that particular car.

Sidebar: My used M05 Mini came with a Mini Cooper in Dukes of Hazard livery including the confederate flag back in 2014.  It even said "General Wee".  I removed the flag after a fellow racer asked me if I wouldn't mind removing it.  This was a great guy too, he helped me tune my very out-of-date F103 for racing, gave me a litany of spares/tuning parts from his F103 days. Do understand the context: this is south Florida with a few bitter people that are all in your face about 'southern pride', which in my opinion is nothing to be proud of... you lost... move on.

Hmm, the Scottish flag would look more tasteful against the orange body anyway!

Don't forget the front bumper.

The front bumper is a bit of flat bar and angle iron atm,for holding the extra lipo, so a bumper shouldnt a problem to nail on 😁👍

Next problem - wheels, I'm thinking the rears could be painted to look a bit like, American racing,  wheels, but the fronts?

Not a host of options for this chassis, and i just can't be bothered to swap to 12 hex, so, paint the fronts too, might look ok, if you squint a bit 🤔😂

Exactly, i dont think the,  good ol' boys, never meanin' no harm, stood for that kind of agenda anyway.

A flag, representing years of fighting the government,in a battle for independance, or stick with the original one for the car.... 🤔 😂

Interesting. Didn't realise the body was wide enough to cover the wheels. That's cool.

I realise its a little late now you have the sand tyres, but what about some aqroshot wheels? They even look a bit charger-ish.

That could be a shout, the paddle tyres would sit better, they're meant for the wider truck wheels.

I'm actually warming to @Biz73 's suggestion of a rat look (ok Mad max) Charger, it does leave the door open to anything that ive in the toy cupboard, and also doesn't matter if wheels match, stick out etc 👍

Personally, if I never saw another orange '69 Charger it would be a good thing. Chargers were popular long before that silly show (ever see "Bullitt"?), and it's a shame that they're so tied to it.

As an alternative, why not look up some late-60s NASCAR paint jobs? That car was legendary as a race car before it got stuck hauling a couple of bumpkins around dirt roads.

Found this one when I was looking for the other pic.

Thats kind of what it would look like, without lighting bar etc! 🤔

You could use some sheet styrene to make armour for the windows and it'd look awesome

Maybe just stick some small mesh on the windows, and/or some black painted ear buds.

Not sure how serious,  but talks of a BBQ, beach bashing season in the summer in Ayr 😎

Thinking on, ive still some masks left after putting the grave digger shell on the Schumacher Fusion, that wouldnt look out of place on a rat rod, mad max style body 🤔

Also the option of a new coors thunderbird shell, or a parma escort cosworth (although i want to get a mold of that one first!)

I had some 1.9" wheels that didn't work on another project, so today I got some RC4WD Mud Slingers for them. I put them on my FAV and they look bad-a**! Look them up, they would look great.

That sounds like a good idea to me, I'd be up for that

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of a mad max style vehicle I've already got half a plan for my hardbody subaru brat shell mated to my cc-01 chassis floating around in my head.....
