Tamiya never gave any official numbers of sales of any kit out to the public, unfortunately... [V]

Only now with an ad of the re-release Hornet, we know that the most sold buggy was the Hornet with 750.000 units, so I would guess for those around 20-100.000. Please note though that in Germany due to the fact of them being popular German cars and being also driven by Walter Rörl at some point, they were sold in large amounts, I remember them even being sold in big generic chains for peanuts and hit my head to the wall now... I especially like the Ascona, with the original stickers and paint work, as it is made after tha Ascona Rally of one of my fellow countrymen, being Jens Ole Kristiansen, a very famous Rallydriver, and it also includes the stickers from "Opel Ringsted" on the roof, and also the Danish licence plates....

I must say that i was quite amazed when i first saw, (back in the late 80´s) a radio controlled car, on which you could track the looks back to little Denmark.. Weee... Patriotism grows...'

However, i have never had one myself, but i am sure that my old friend stille has the one he used to run in my backyard, battling it out against my own Frog.. (Which, i am sad to say, has been dumped MANY years ago)...

Cheers..

Michael
