hard body "rain gutter" repair!!???

hi everyone,

i was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction on how to repair the "rain gutters" on my lunch box body. the entire body is in good condition except where the previous owner "rolled" it a few times[V]. what steps / products are neccesary to restore them?

I had a similar situation on my scorcher where the shell was decent but had the drip rails ripped off. You can see the end result in my showroom (the blue and white Scorcher). I ended up fixing it by filling in the drip rail with epoxy and sanding it down carefully with a dremel and a fine sand paper backed up with a sponge. To keep the epoxy in a decent form untill it cured I used a piece of masking tape along the edge and filled in there. Its really time consuming and a real pain in the bupkiss.

Shodog, volksrod and moosey might have experience with this as well. Drop them a line see if they have any better ideas.

you can buy thin strips of styrene and glue them to the shell. it a lot of work but not impossible.
