I tried connecting to the motor leads ,so when i accelerate more smoke ,when i ideal less smoke, but when i ideal no smoke ,when i accelerate full smoke . do i need a speed control , or does any one have any ideas. I have a tamiya 1/14 scale knight hauler

What smoker do you have?

The drift ones have a heating coil that stays energized and a fan that's connected to the motor (brushed) or a seperate ESC if you're running brushless.

If you've got something for model trains then they puff constantly when powered but they're not exactly "instantaneous" when you hit the gas.
