MIP ORV ball diff question

So after test driving my Brat one time lightly around the shop - It was great in forward gear - I did notice it sounded slightly odd in reverse - IIRC correctly that loose sound where the gears don’t totally “grab” in reverse is a diff adjustment issue correct?

did you turn the bolt all the way tight then a quarter turn back ..?

Did you check or replace the gears too as the old maybe worn down if old ones still in box ..

 

 I just built one for my monster beetle and was too loose so it would not drive , but then after I done what the info says it seems fine .....

Brand new kit, but I think what you say is probably the issue, I'll adjust the diff and see what happens.  Thanks!

dove back into the tranny, cranked down the center allen, and then backed off a quarter of a turn.  still sounds like a nut grinder in reverse

Did you use the Monster Beetle/Blackfoot gears in the trans?  It requires these and not the stock brat gears.
