Has anyone bought stuff from getriebedoktor, he seems to only accept bank transfer or PayPal but with a hefty 4.8% charge for pp.?

Not used him but that 4.8% is what PayPal charges small sellers. It' daylight robbery even compared to credit cards. My business puts 10s or 1000s of pounds through PayPal and we still only get 3.3%

No one used him at all??? I saw some mention of him in an old post - just like to get an idea if I should be send €300+ euros in a bank transfer......

you should be able to do that without further costs except the exchange costs for  gbp to eur they will have a IBAN.

paypal takes some money for the exchange aswell, except if you have enough eur in your PP 

I think getriebe doktor is more popular with the scale and crawler guys
