It's a firm maybe for me. Calendar appears to be empty,  but will double check.

Need a whole bunch of track time with my 2x1XM. 20 minutes on club race night doesn't cut it.

Upgraded to a firm yes. Entered the Super Madtute into a bunch of vintage racing this year,  including at RHR, so I need the track time.  Here's hoping it's dry and warmer by the weekend.

Our recent meet was a cracker and already booked in for our next at robin hood raceway, 15th March is our next date.

Morning all, just putting up our next meet day at Robin Hood Raceway, its the 26th April. Be great to see some new faces and the older ones too of course lol.

I'd love to be able to get to this, it would be an epic road trip.  There's also a 380 meet on at BMR, so I could get to Junkies in the morning for some bashing and then head down to BMR for some fun racing.

But, alas, I've already got a weekender for the BRCA Sportscar Endurance championship in April, and the following weekend I'm back in Matlock for the Scale Nationals, so it's a bit extravagant to have yet another weekend out.

I will definitely try to get along to more Junkies meets once the crazy season is over.

Literally while I was writing out my last post, my wife was in an interview for a job that required her to work every other weekend.  She's now accepted one that only requires every other Saturday, but for much lower wages.  Which puts a bit of a dampener on getting to more meets this year - but we'll see.  I'll do what I can

Hi there, yeh Mr Rob Fox will be there with his Racing Manta Ray doing some filming, so a few of us will be bringing anything similar chassis wise to run along side it, also our normal informal fun running on all tracks will be be happening all day.

Balancing our hobby and everyday life can be a challenge, i would love to spend more time time out enjoying this great hobby myself. Hope to catch you a few time this year Alex.

Hah yeah that was a much needed giggle. 

wouldn’t be a trip to RHR if I didn’t break something - casualties included one TD4 shock tower and one servo. Had to pull out the crappy servo in my 201 and drop in a spare but when I did the car was epic around the Astro track - so smooth and easy to drive - a real surprise delight.

I know I've promised to head down every year its been on, but , THIS year 🙄🤞👍

I've a trailer tent now, so hoping to camp, is that a thing, or would I just be having a cold beer on my own of an evening, whilst everyone else is at the travel lodge (or whatever is close) ?...

Not sure how many folks make a weekend of it tbh. I've thought about staying overnight in our van if there was a race meet the day afterwards.

Wasn't sure if anyone arrives on the Friday night, found if it's more than a 3hr drive it turns into a long long day doing it in the one hit (probably less than 3hrs these day tbh, as the years roll by...👴) 

 

Although, did discuss with some guys at the club (over 5 yrs ago now though...😳)  and talked about maybe the Glasgow club renting the track on the Friday for a training day with Lee Martin, Most of them started with Tamiyas anyway, and I've enough for them all.
