TurboTimmy 88 Posted May 8, 2018 I am seriously considering the purchase of a Tamiya NSU TT kit. Is there anything I should know about the chassis, like any problems? Looks like a neat little car-even though it's on a fwd chassis. I am only a "car park basher", so it's not going to get anything radical......Thanks for any info. MICHAELs TopForce17 587 Posted May 10, 2018 I had an m05 chassis briefly and didn’t have any problems with it. I recommend getting ball bearings as a first upgrade. http://www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-ball-bearing-tamiya-verii-18pcs-yb0234mx-p-29689.html?cPath=595_744_1389 http://www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-aluminum-wheel-washer-tamiya-wa004sv-p-20270.html?cPath=595_744_1389
qatmix 824 Posted May 10, 2018 It’s a great car. It uses the long wheelbase setting of the M05 chassis. Bearings are the most essential things for the car but there are a lot of tuning options. https://www.thercracer.com/2017/07/tamiya-m05-v2-guide-mods-tuning-and.html
TurboTimmy 88 Posted May 10, 2018 Thanks guys. I might have another project already. I smashed up my old Hornet last night. The front bumper mount is broken off. I have ordered a new chassis-but the old one can be glued back together. I have an ESC and a spare 540.......Has anyone turned a Hornet/Grasshopper into a pavement racer? I used to run my hornet with a Lexan VW Beetle body, waffle tires all around and a Kyosho 240ST, front and rear oil shocks, it was badass.

TurboTimmy 88 Posted May 20, 2018 Well, here it is.....She's already had one test session-and a crash. The front air dam is now damaged due to my not seeing a large pothole in the parking lot. Is there any way to repair a hole in the polycarbonate body?
