A problem here:

I believe the Toyota Toms from 1984 (same juicy, all-original "Racing Master" chassis as the Porsche 956 & Newman) has the same rear axle as the F-1 Road Wizard. Am I wrong? Please let me know, as I am trying to locate one small bit to finish my build.

You all have a fantastic weekend! :)

Hi Mongoose,

I have both in my collection and just had a look. The metal uprights that hold the axle shaft and which the motor mount to are identical, but the cross member that braces them is different. The Road Wizard has a flat plastic cross piece that the metal rear wing stay is screwed to on one side, and on the other is a metal bracket which curves around the motor and is attached to the suspension spring, whereas the Toyota has a thin graphite cross piece which is screwed flat across the back and to which the suspension set up is directly mounted on the top of. Which part are you looking for? I have a few spares for the Road Wizard.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help with my question. It's great you have both models!

I'm in need of the small brass bits (e5 and e6) that go inside the silver hex barrel that goes inside the differential gears. That and a set of used wheel and tires would help me complete a car here.

Have a good Thursday! :)

Hi Mongoose,

Sorry for the delayed reply. I have looked at all my spares but i dont have the items loose. I do however have an original road wizard that i was going to restore, but i will sell for spares if you are interested. It is complete apart from the rear wing and stay. Maybe it will be of some use. Make me an offer....

Regards

First of all thanks for the reply and for wanting to help me finish the project car.

Unfortunately, getting another car to complete my project would only lead me to finish both, which is not what I am looking for this time, but of course I thank you for the offer.

Have a good Friday! :)
