I'd love to have others over to drive their trucks!  Anyone is welcome!

Now all I have to do is get a US visa, a round trip ticket and fly 8,500 miles to get to Jersey.

Wish I had a Millennium Falcon to travel really fast. Hahaha!

Sweet!  Now all I need is to get myself a crawler (as I open up a second browser window to shop), learn to drive it, and drive to NJ.

What part of NJ are you in?  I grew up in Monmouth County.

I'm about an hour north of Monmouth County.  Manasquan Inlet is my go to beach, and it take me an hour with no traffic to get there.

What country are you in again?

I grew up 10 minutes from Sandy Hook and Sea Bright.

Hobby Masters in Red Bank was my go to shop in the late 80s

Yeah, I'd say that would be a pretty big journey to drive some toy trucks around.

I'm actually from Tatooinne originally. Took my ship for I spin and ended here on earth. Ran out of antimatter (hyperdrive fuel) and been stuck here since. Coms are lost too so no way of sending them a message to send me fuel from the other galaxies...

There goes my SW geekness. Hahaha!

They’re not the ones you need to worry about, you can chase them away. It’s the grizzlies you need to watch out for...!

Got the Land Rover out today and took some pics.   Everything has really grown and filled out since last spring.

I still need to do some detail work on this loop section on the rally course.

That is sooo awesome! Great job with the course, and great job with getting a yard to carve it in!

Thanks!  It is a lot of fun!

Yesterday I started on that bottom turn.  It needed more dirt and to make the downhill transition a little smoother.  In the video I had been going around it onto the driveway.  I was reading online about 1:1 dirt road construction and how it's a common practice to add cement to soil to help bind it.  I'm going to get a few bags of cement and sand today and mix into the soil in this corner on the hill to help stabilize it and get it packed down nice.

I also went from driving my bone stock TT-02 rally car with the pogo stick shocks to the xv-01.  They are like polar opposites in handling.  Definately need to upgrade to some CVA for the tt-02.

I worked all weekend on this section.  It was a lot of labor but I enjoyed it and I'm pretty happy with the results.  Just got to get some grass to grow on the turn surrounds.  The soil - cement mixture seems to have set up pretty firm.  I'll have to see how it holds up to the rain and if it helps resist wash outs.

We should all club together, hire a private jet and pay you a visit. You’d probably never want visitors again!

Decided to use the Sand Scorcher body I had been weathering and rusting as a prop.  I think the more things like this I begin to add with make the entire thing look scale, or put it into perspective or context.  I don't know, its just supposed to look like an old rusted out vw beetle body rotting away in the woods.  48618618083_67f7065b00_b.jpgUntitled by Joe, on Flickr

Ha!  Thanks!  A 10m/sq backyard is still plenty of room to make something.  Grab a shovel!

The Beetle shell is an excellent touch, what a brilliant idea. The rust and weathering look authentic, what technique did you use?

Thanks!  I used the salt method with an airbrush.
