I bought two bodies not realizing they were for 1/10 pan cars. I should have read the specs, but I didn't. So, I could cut out the wheel wells to make them fit my WT-01, but I am curious to know who makes 1/10 pan car chassis'? Would I be better off getting new, or finding something used that's not produced anymore?

Are they for the old 9"/235mm wide pan cars? I would look for a used Associated RC10L, or Bolink Eliminator or "91 Sport." Should be plentiful on ebay, and not too expensive. Avoid anything that has "SS" or "superspeedway" in the name; they will be the narrowed 8" cars. RJ Speed (nee Bolink) still makes an SS-width pan car, but as far as I know, unless Corally still makes one, the old wide cars have gone the way of the dodo.

Team CRC makes a 1/10 pan car in 200 mm width, but they also sell adapters to convert it to 235 mm width (Pro 10).  However, having a few wrong body shells is no justification for spending $225-$250 for a fresh chassis!

Here's a great site highlighting Pro 10 and other pan cars throughout history:  http://www.pro10-classic.com/eng/rcgesch.php

Maybe you can find a used chassis at auction for cheap!

Thanks. These are Bolink bodies. Both are 9" wide.

Here's one of them.

The other I got from their eBay store and isn't listed on their website.

Thanks for the information. I do agree that having the wrong body doesn't justify a new chassis, but I figured that since I had the bodies, maybe i'll explore that option. Otherwise, I don't know what to do with them unless I monsterize them for a truck. I'll hang onto them for now and keep checking eBay. Maybe something will come up at a decent price now that I know what to look for.

There's a Bolink Eliminator on ebay right now, rolling chassis, no body, with a BIN price of $84.99.

The rally bodies like that usually fit a 1/10 buggy of the era quite nicely. That XR4 would look pretty sweet on a Boomerang or something...

Yep. I seen that Eliminator this morning after I read your post. I do like the idea of putting it on a Tamiya buggy. Thanks again.
