speedy_w_beans 4270 Posted July 11, 2018 Not really. Touring car ball diffs are pretty good; some of the buggy ball diffs are a little weak until upgraded with metal joints. This is pretty much the classic guide for building and setting a ball diff, posted years ago: https://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/512013-how-properly-build-break-ball-differential-slipper-clutch.html I ran a DB01 Durga with ball diffs and no slipper, and they lasted for a good number of packs before getting too crunchy.
