Lipo for King Cab chassis?

Good Morning all.  Installed the stealth into my childhood Monster Racer Toyota Hilux yesterday. Now I need a battery.  Do any of you know what Lipo fits the Kingcab chassis? I need one that is shapped exactly like an old school 6 cell 7.2 nicad as the kincab's chassis is molded to excet only 7.2v shapped batteries. Thanks in advance! Runnning a Novak Brushless, cant wait to run it!!!

There are quite a few threads on this if you search, at worst you want to look for one with a rounded case that matches the size of the nicad/nimh 7.2v packs - Core CR923 for example.

Other batteries are available in a similar size but have a squared case - these might or might not fit.

I searched but the king cab is unique as the chassis is molded for the exact dimensions of a stick pack, shape etc. That's why this thread is kingcab specific.

So that Core CR293 is a good bet, I've yet to read of a tamiya car it doesn't fit.

 

You could also look at the Yuki packs. See page 3. There are links to a few others in that post too.

One thing to watch out for is the length of the round lipo battery’s.  A lot of the ones available are longer than the nimh packs and may violate the battery compartment.  Do your research!

I just went with a 5000mah 7.2 nimh.  I am just bashing with my son on the local track  and back yard. The stealth trans is AMAZING!!!!!
