All depends on what paint you're using, the Vallejo stuff is good for water based acylics, but if you're using something like Tamiya acrylic (which isn't water based) it won't be as good. And it'll be even worse if your using oil based paints.

I only use Vallejo Premium air and Tamiya acrylics.

When I use Tamiya paints I then to then use neat X20A thinner to clean the airbrush, before Medea Airbrush cleaner. https://www.air-craft.net/acatalog/Medea-Airbrush-Cleaner-32oz.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwns_bBRBCEiwA7AVGHmDOUSbhdYitczGt2Rc6ld4djo_Faz_91UGzR6YkOztAChBAyZrE-BoC9LoQAvD_BwE

For the Vellejo paints usually just water then the Medea cleaner.

I also use Needle juice https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Badger-Regdab-Needle-Juice-Airbrush-Lubricant-122-/332398790581 after cleaning to make sure the needle doesn't stick due to any residue.

Maybe I'm a cretin, but I've been using auto windshield cleaner (the blue stuff) for all cleaning and some diluting.  Basically wood alcohol.  Cheapest stuff I can find.  $1/gallon usually.

You can just use that thinners through the gun (undiluted) to clean it. I expect that little bottle was expensive though - find a local car paint supplier and just buy a litre bottle of thinners, should be about £7 or £8.

You might even get away with using methylated spirit. When I clean mine I clean the cup out, unscrew the front bit and wipe the needle clean, then run water through it to get rid of the worst and then run meths through it until it comes out clear.
