He is the sculptor/maker of SRP, Scale Realistic Parts. He makes very detailed doorhandles, lights, vents etc. for all kinds of 1/10 bodyshells and is currently in the process of creating parts for the ABC Hobby AW11 MR2 shell. Might be something for you :)

I've been eyeing these parts on YJ for some time now, but could never find them for sale elsewhere... Out of curiosity, have you had a chance to demo these parts yet? I love their work and some of those mirrors are impressive scale pieces that would be very difficult to produce on your own. I really want to give it them a try, but by time I'm done paying for all of the associated service fees, I'd be in for $40+ before I even thought about paint

Like you I couldn’t work out how to buy them so I didn’t even look into exchange rates for prices.

They are great looking parts for both shells. I’ll have to try and make some time to do some more digging. Thanks for your input though.

These came today. Properly cool I think.

What are your opinions please?

Yeah the SRP stuff is great! I have a couple of pieces. One of my friends used to be a distributor for Europe for SRP. The only one I can think of now that's a good distributor for the SRP stuff is Rare Arts, a drift shop from USA. Check out their Facebook page, they are able to get any part you want from their catalog. https://www.facebook.com/Rareartsusa1980/

Very shiny! Are they on the right way round though? Usually with "V" tread tyres, the "V" points towards the front of the car when viewed from above.

Ah ok, I wasn’t sure which way round they went so just made sure they pointed the same way. I’ll switch them round.

Masked using doggy poo bags and a bit of tape just to spray the rear diffuser.2FC662B8-B73E-4A80-A2DC-206F91BF906E.thumb.jpeg.961e466960de56f0846a6b5a897338f4.jpeg17ED0F2B-9056-4CA8-AAA0-4AFD72743D2D.thumb.jpeg.2762cf77b36bc4920e9ffa6c69f37ef2.jpeg

Masked around the the front fog light surrounds and took a chance on painting with a brush after getting some advice from @Jason1145. Actually I had to do it twice as the first unmasking revealed a terrible edging finish. Second time I masked it with Frog Tape and unmasking immediately after painting resulting in a much better finish.

This weekend will see the main event of colour.

Yeah it's such a pain to block of 98% of a shell to only paint a front or rear valence but yours came out pukka!

Good warm weather this weekend so I might paint a bodyshell too :)

I use usually for small black areas a brush and airbrush paint for hobby grade.

a lot easier then a spraycan. But it is probably to own preference.

That’s a really nice looking shell - the stance is spot-on with those wheels. Also, your custom decals are lovely.
