Unknown Kyosho FF Chassis

Hi everyone! I would like to ask for your help in identifying the Kyosho chassis that I have. 

So far, what I was able to gather after searching online and asking around FB groups and Instagram is that the chassis that I have shares the same front and rear suspension assembly with the Kyosho FF Honda CR-X and Peugeot 205. I have checked pictures of chassis that were released the same year the FF was released but can't find any that looks the same as my main chassis.

Seems it is a Kyosho Mini Cooper (BG053), but although hundreds of people seem to sell bearings for them, actual cars and pictures are a bit thin on the ground.

Finally and answer! And you are right in saying that there are no pictures of the BG053 readily available online. I still appreciate the lead though, will try to research more about it. Would you know what year the BG053 was made available? It could help narrow down search options.

Sadly not. I found out the model number through fiddling with Google searches. However, looking at the chassis and the electronics (presuming they are period), I'd guess it was an early 90s kit.

That receiver looks like a Futaba FP-R112JE. Does it have a number next to the 'AM' to say what frequency it uses? It'll probably be either 27 or 40, which might narrow the timescale down a little.

Also, the stickers on the body mention '049 ENGINE POWER', which suggests they are from another kit.

Oh, hello. Kyosho apparently built a 1:10 IC Mini. Could it be that the body and stickers were from another car?

Not much crossover with yours, though, although they may have been produced around the same time. Those wheels and tyres are certainly the same.

But the body originally seems to have come from here, (check the '7' against the one on the number here, which makes it look like it's been cut from the bigger sticker). This is rear-wheel drive and a totally different chassis, though. Curiouser and curiouser.
