Some pics of my DT-02 with a McAllister modified coupe body. I chose this body to use in place of my Holiday Buggy body for bashing since I don't want to destroy the HB body.

The color is Spazstix candy dynamite purple, backed with Spazstix mirror chrome, backed with Spazstix ultimate black backer. Looks like a metallic black cherry. The wheel selection is just goofing around from what wheels I have. I don't have any other bearing mount front wheels and am open for suggestion for a set of offroad wheels / tires to go with this body. With the way I have it now, it looks like it's ready for a tractor pull.  I may use @Wooders28 idea and swap the front to hex mount for more wheel options.

(Haven't cut the body posts yet because I have another body to fit to this chassis)

Absolutely beautiful! Loving that. In my humble opinion the rears look out of place - I’d try either going same size or a bit smaller, but slick tyres on the rear (short course trucks slicks?)

Lovely car though, well done.

That looks really cool!

I think the fronts look pretty good as is. What kind of look are you aiming for?

Thanks. I agree, the fronts look fine. I like the traditional hotrod look, but I don't want to lose offroad capability with street tires. Maybe I should stick to the Holiday Buggy tires and find a set of chrome wheels to go with them.

Oh yeah, for sure the rears are out of place. They're off of a WT-01 . I was just goofing around when I put the wheels on. You know, just to see what it looks like. Thanks for the suggestion.

All the wheels look too big imo.

I played about with wheels on the dt03, and ended up with FTX Mauler rears and, painted to match ,hornet fronts. The fronts needed a washer and the wheel lip removed to stop rubbing, but not too much hassle.

(I had saved a Schumacher cougar yokes and steering hex's etc for £9 link on eBay, to post for you, but it's away now 😟)

I think I found a tire/wheel combo that I like. The fronts take the same bearing as the DT02 fronts, and the rears are 12mm hex. The tires are Duratrax Six Packs, and the wheels.......

The wheels are....

Dare I say...........?

Traxxas Pro-Stars. Part #4174 for the fronts and #4172 for the rears.

Hummer wheels.
Cut some nuts on the rims, paint them, mount the tires and paint with white the walls of the tires.
Another color option is black wall tires and white rims. I suggest the TS Racing White from Tamiya.

How did you come up with yours?? Or did you already have that Body lying around, saw it and said "hmmmmmmm". 😵  So simple yet brilliant Artistry!!  I'm already thinking that a Legends Body will be WAY too short. I'd LOVE to do a '50 Merc or a '47 Ford Business Coupé.... But I do have choices....

What other plans do you have for this?? Inquiring minds want to know!! 😫😆😅😅😂

I broke my "No shelf queens" rule with my Holiday Buggy body. I just wasn't ready to get it all scratched up, so I decided to go with a different body that I could beat on.

Future plans are to swap out the silver can with a brushless setup and go have some fun with it.
