i've been installing car audio since i received my drivers license.

i could add more power but it doesn't need it.

My HM "65" replica AC Cobra is just a tad bit more(ok a heck of a lot more)

i do not blow anything, all gains are set to top out full volume (kinda like gearing in our RC's) to much, Puff the magic dragon.

i'll start a thread this summer Full Tilt Audio. What is that i said? i can't hear you!

Home audio is a Monster that attracts Police, angry neighbors and drowns out the Buchanan airport

It is my loudest toy and it will loosen your teeth.

That sounds like quite a system!

I've got an Alpine CDA9812RB head unit, with 6" Alpine fronts,  and Pioneer TS-A2013 rears. Both running off 4 channel amp (Pioneer IIRC), and an Alpine 12" Sub and Amp. Not as good as yours!

Got a bit of everything in my iTunes as I rarely like everything by one particular group or singer, which is great these days as you don't have to buy a whole album on the back of one song you liked to find the rest of it not so good like the old cassette, CD days.

Anyway I find myself listening more to Deep House for winding down and flicking through the big world wide web..I suppose I would be lying by saying I wasn't drawn in partly by the picture ;)

I fell down a Waylon Jennings and Ray Wylie Hubbard rabbit hole on YouTube tonight, had been listening to AC/DC in my car earlier today, and fell into a Santana Ft——  rabbit hole some last night.

I have a serious love for house/trance/Old UK garage/early hip hop and electro. Along with things like Faithless, Nickleback, Santana, Pink floyd, you name it.

So, browsing for links and new sources i came across a Youtube user by the name of Driving Music. Absolutely amazing. If you're Uk based, you will know all about Radio 1 and there special shows/gigs/ dance DJ's like Pete Tong, Judge Jules etc.

Well, this user has LOADS of old Radio 1 Essential Selection mixes up, some are quite old. All accompanied by dashcam footage of him driving round mainly Arizona/Utah etc. Although some are Toronto. Always the same car. It is seriously cool. Most vids have massive amounts of views too.

Also, he has a World Of Warcraft Account Virozir and his character hasn't moved for years and is pretty blinged up in a cool place.

Anyway: a link

I have been listening to:

The reality is that The Rutles only made about two albums' worth of music, but online, there are some people who have recreated an entire catalogue/discography equivalent to The Beatles, using music that (like the original concept of The Rutles) almost kind of sounds like them.

I had a go at it, using music from bands and artists like Timebox/Patto/Boxer, The Flames, and of course Neil Innes and Ollie Halsall (two of the members, portraying "Ron Nasty" and the voice of "Dirk McQuickly" respectively!).

The first track from Rutle Soul is actually by Timebox:

Sort of a spiritual/conceptual equivalent to "Drive My Car" from Rubber Soul.

The list goes on! Sgt. Rutter's Only Darts Club Band (Sgt. Pepper's), Tragical History Tour (Magical Mystery Tour), The Wheat Album (The White Album), Shabby Road (Abbey Road)... Over time, I managed to produce my own catalogue. Amazingly/inexplicably, suitably-altered album artwork has been made for each! The result is that actual albums can be compiled and presented.

As for The Rutles' actual work:

Again, spoofing The Beatles Anthology, with "Archaeology." :P This one would be put on Shabby Road, as a sort of equivalent to "Octopus' Garden."

Mixing musicianship with irreverence, it has been a fun adventure :D

I largely spend my days listening to stuff like this now:

Usually this sort of music is a winter thing for me, but as it's pouring with rain and 11*C outside right now it doesn't exactly feel like summer yet.

But last night I took my laptop and my DJ controller over to a mate's studio and we had a DJ battle from 6pm until midnight.  Started off with some oldskool bigbeat - Chemical Brothers, Propellerheads, Crystal Method style of thing - then moved into some hard techno, back to bigbeat with the studio cameras on to record a mix, then some more techno with the cameras on, then we had a break to eat the rest of our Carribean takeaway before putting all the newfangled digital stuff away and breaking out the Technics for a non-stop liquid drum'n'bass battle.  I got rid of all my vinyl when I sold my decks a few years back (mostly I had late-90s / early-00s trance) but my mate has gone crazy collecting rare and expensive reggae and dnb.  Last night I had the treat to spin up some discs worth over £100 each and strayed away from liquid into some proper nasty stuff.  Finally ended the night listening to a few rare reggae dubplates from the local Jamaican community.

All-in all a fantastic night was had, followed by a comfortable sleep on someone else's sofa and a 5am rise to get home in time for work today.  With a rather sore head I might add, probably attributed to the rum and coke that followed the several cans of Budweiser that energised me through 6 hours of DJing.
