New Boomerang re-re purchase, review of parts list please!

So I've finally caved on a Re-re Boomer to go next to my Super Hotshot and want the Boomer to become a little rocket using LiPo's and a Brushless setup.

I've had no luck finding a Hobbywing EZRun 13T 60A combo so appreciate if the following can be reviewed including anything else that is a must have.

Original Tamiya 15T Steel pinion

Open to any other ideas as it'll be more a racer than basher.

I have that motor in my Boomerang with the TBLE-02S and have run that combo in a TT02B. Its great bang for buck but get the program card too.

Without ESC timing then you want the 17T pinion which is the biggest that will fit. I haven't run boost or turbo in the Boomerang so can't say for sure if the 17T pinion will be ok, but it probably will. No heat issues at all on my setup. Grab the 16T pinion as well and check the temps.

That battery is only 35C so may not be able to supply the required juice if you run a lot of turbo and boost. Go for amhigher C rating. I found running NiMH in the TT02B that no matter what I did with the programming it didnt get faster. Switched to a 5800mah 100C battery and it was ballistic. NiMH are about 15C, I don't know if the 35C lipo will be good enough as all my lipos are race packs.

I have a Core RC Lipo which is tamiya shaped and I think it's 30-60c but it is considerably more punchy than even 8.4v nimh so don't worry about performance. In my Thunder Dragon I have a Hobbywing 120a brushless ESC and a 13.5R Speed Passion 3300kv sensored brushless and it's really quick. I got all that from Modelsport. I bought the steel 17t DT02/3 pinion which fits and reinforces the drivetrain.

I’ve run a Tamiya 10.5 brushless with LRP 5800 nimh. Runs very quick and sometimes topples over on grass. Using MIP ball diff in the rear and DF02 CvD in the front.
