 I got an email about the November releases and they had the TT02RR in it. I followed the link and:

 I wish it also had the 3-degree rear uprights that the R has. Other than that, I think the R has everything but the oil filled diffs.

I think there's little difference over the R version. Tamiya should have at least included the TRF dampers instead of the CVA plastic ones.

Can't say it's of massive interest personally, but I agree the spec is weird not including TRF dampers if there is already the S and R kits out there. Seems like the most obvious way to set it apart from a lesser model and the first thing a racer would change. Carbon towers to improve adjustment and lower cg would also seem like an obvious win for a higher spec chassis.
