Haven't cleaned this in and out since last year. After a few runs in the past weekends, I finally pulled everything off. Shocks, bearings, DCJ, steering set, gearbox, suspension and almost everything and cleaned them.

I really love this bulkhead as it distributes and dissipates heat quickly.

Since the XV-01 has been upgraded with brushless now. The FF-03RR has been upgraded with the HW 1080 from the XV. More setting options than the all stock 1060. Higher current too.

I converted the FF-03RR to short wheelbase to accommodate the new Corolla WRC body I've recently acquired. So now the chassis is FF-03RR-S. Haha!

Replaced the old BL motor Ares Pro 17.5 to Rocket V3 17.5. The Rocket has much more torque and magnets are very powerful compared to the Ares. Will test this on the track soon.

@Nicadraus Very nice! I have one in my FF03. Lovely motor. I run 42 deg timing.

I'm loving this Rocket motor. I installed a 21.5t in the XV and runs really great and fast. I didn't touch the timing of the motors. Instead I adjusted the timing of the ESC via the PC program. Enabled the boost and turbo as well.

So I decided to make my FF-01R shelf-queen a runner again. I've had some spare new electronics kept in boxes and pulled them out today while I finish my isolation from covid.
Installed Tamiya TBLE-02s ESC, SPT 4412LV servo, Surpass 27t brushed motor and Radiolink RX. Shortened lots of wires and replaced ESC connectors to bullet for the motor and deans for the battery. I also opened my bnew Clio wheels and mounted with Tamiya radial tires. This FF-01 has been with me since 1996 and it originally came with the Renault Clio body and wheel set.

Tested her and she still runs like a charm. Very smooth and nimble. The slim battery fits perfectly without any modifications needed.

Thanks Kevin. I currently have the original Corolla WRC in plain body white for this chassis as only for display but I'm planning to use a Fiat Abarth 131 by L&L models once I start running this. Still undecided with livery to use though.

I repositioned the antenna and changed the damper springs to all black.

Mr. RR got new set of wheel and tires. I think they look great on the Corolla WRC body. :)

Time to upgrade the FF-03RR's servo.

From SPT4412LV...

to PowerHD R12.

Nice thing about PowerHD low profile servo is that the wires are factory shortened. No need to cut and resolder. I only had to wrap it in braided sleeve.

An excellent choice. I put one of these servos in my recently built Carten M210R.

This is my 2nd R12, one installed in my XV-01. While my FF-03 Pro-R uses the L12HV. Same specs as the R12 except for the casing which is all aluminum. Both are probably one of the fastest servos in the market. I also like the titanium gears installed in them. I'm really impressed with Power HD servos.

Nothing much update except for the panel lines I applied today on this body which I painted four years ago. Now looks better.
