Hello all I bought a used cr01 qnd just finished rebuilding it. U never used it before the rebuild I just tore it down. Now that is together I have a few questions regarding the rolling resistance. It has a traxxas motor in it. When I reassembled it I made sure all the axles rolled good and the tranny but all together it seem hard to push. Thank you

Hello and welcome. There are two issues with the CR01 that probably contribute to it being hard to push. The CR01 has a pretty steep gear reduction thanks to its planetary gear transmission. This means, with the motor installed, its relatively easy for the motor to turn the gears/drivetrain etc. because its at the beginning of the drivetrain and all those gears give it a lot of mechanical advantage. When pushing it along by the wheels, you're essentially doing the opposite so all that mechanical advantage is working against you pushing it. In other words, everything's ok.

I've also noticed that the steep angle of the CR01's driveshaft's can cause them to sometimes bind slightly as they turn over in rotation. With the suspension in full extension or droop its even worse. At full compression, it goes away. Due to the slow speed nature of the CR01 and crawling in general, this doesn't seem to affect the performance in anyway. If it were a high-speed rig, I might worry but not in the CR01's case. Hope this helps.
