Ultimate TB01 Slow Build.

Recommended Posts

Wheels have arrived.

Test fitted and found I've got the wrong body posts fitted. Causing the body to be sat too far towards. Need to find the correct ones in the stash. Wheels look ace though.

Got some allot Tamiya servo mounts but think I'll be fitting the alloy GPM servo mounts and using the Tamiya ones on the shelf queen.

All in good time.

No. I wasn't paying that much for them. Got 53596 instead.

Nice👍

I'm guessing a Ferrari body will be sitting on top!?

Only my dream Ferrari. Knew the wheels would give it away. Lol.

Well. Had a slight issue with the servo mount I ordered. I had gone for Alloy GPM mounts designed for many different chassis in blue. Decided for GPM just to match the rest of the car.

The left hand mount is a tad too tall and hits the prop shaft.

Solution... Ordered a left hand servo mount for the TB03. It's Tamiya blue and almost matches the GPM one... but it's a much lower mount and fits very nicely in the space.

She is finished.

Well finished enough for shelf duty. Need to fit a motor and servo with steering arm and the RX and ESC and she will be ready to run.

I've want to weigh her and compare it to a rally spec TB01 and my shelf queen TB01 which nearly full option specification.

Pics to follow shortly!
