So last night I broke it to Mrs Slayer that this project is a go... And it got her blessing. This concerns me. Lol.

GPM Chassis - not as light as I thought it would be but very nice.

That's all very well, but without pics you might just as well be talking about unicorns. :)

If you get stuck for parts, let me know. I'm done with my TB-01 stuff now. You could even have your LA kit back if you want.

That was a very impressive build. It won't be going that blingy. But it will be going that in depth

Yeah I’m not expecting that level of bling, the only reason it went that blingy is because it was possible.

Im not aware of any plated parts for tb01 although there might be enough alloy and carbon bits to forgo most of the stock black plastic.

I'll be trying to use as many optional parts as I can. Mainly delrin, and fibre reinforced. The only main plastic items I'm aiming to have is the gearboxes. I know it's never going to break speed records but I'm hoping I can set it up to at least hold its own when it is tested by @GooneyBird

So I accidentally won a complete rolling chassis off eBay. TB01 rally chassis. So the gearboxes will be used from that but the diffs will be staying away. Defo thinking TT02 diffs, and may be the pinion gear from the Levant, the pinion gear to the crown wheel in for the diff is 13t in the Levant and 15t in the TB. This will increase acceleration but may decrease top end speed. We shall see.

That's not a bad thing though. For comparison, at the track I try to shoot for an FDR of about 6~6.3. So not stupidly geared. This keeps the speed to a reasonable level and doesn't seems to be too harsh on the gears.

Happy Christmas👍

Very nice what's the chassis look like?

I've become a big fan of the TB range in the last year or so 😉

I don't see the LA kit in the picture. It should have been in the box as well.

I’ve got a set of rear alloy uprights on order, and I’ll order the front alloy arms next month, and then the month after I’ll be hunting for the correct recommended touring car motor for it, which I believe is a Dyna run one, and then I need to pick some alloy servo mounts and if I can find them... the correct Tamiya ESC and servo that are suggested in the instruction manual. And I’ve also ordered the hop up spoiler for the one of the Enzo as suggested in the manual.
