I'm interested in a Rough Rider in the Belray blue edition that I have seen pictures of. Is this a separate model to the one with the orange car on the box or does the orange one come with the decals etc to build both coloured cars?

I want to know how to get the blue edition but I never see any for sale, only orange.

I have not seen the XB buggy champ sold in blue.  As Fuijo said the kit comes with decals to do the blue livery however the rere the decals have phony sponsor names. You’ll want a set of reproductions from MCI.

If your patient you’ll find someone’s  model they have painted blue for sale.

Agree re MCI - they’re superb. Although vintage RR decals aren’t as prohibitive in terms of cost as other 70s bits.

Problem is they’re generally crap vs modern MCI - noting even the best vintage decals will have warped and had backing adhesive softened with age - so they’re a pita to lay down then demand a carefully layered, heavy lacquer to adhere long term.

And I’ve always gone matt finish then lacquer coats vs gloss decals with MCI @Juggular

Oh, if you are going to do the coating, matt finish would work better!
