Trade text abnormalities

When entering trade text on the main site, a space before a £ sign shows odd text?

Yes, I've noticed this in some of my showroom entries where I've used the £ sign... a strange collection of characters (and no, I don't mean all my custom Wild Willy drivers ;o) - and even if you go in and edit the post, the gobbledegook is still there when you save the page.

Currently I've had to edit those showroom entries and use the would pound instead.
