I am working on a new project that I am just collecting parts for.

I am thinking of a late model production based rock racer so lots of panel damage but not in the traditional rust and faded paint way.

Has anyone got any examples or ideas on how to do this?

Build it as normal and then drive it badly?🤔

I think it would be difficult to do as plastic doesnt do scale "dents" like thin aluminium or steel body panels do. Unless you could cut out sections of the plastic body and replace with some thin metal (coke can or bean tin etc) Use filler and sand it to blend in then you could give it some dents that would stay in place?

Heat up an irregularly shaped piece of something with a blowtorch, like a rock maybe, then squish it into the plastic to melt a dent shaped impression?

That would be my normal driving then :(

I thought about heating it up and squishing in a rock or two but I doubt it would look like bent metal.

Readly gives me access to all the 4x4 and rock magazines so I might try and find something I want to copy as a better direction.
